Gamified Assessments, Can you ace it?

Are you a fresh graduate, looking for a position in a top-notch company? If yes then certainly you would be thinking about how to ace the assessment tests of your dream company. For this, you must be thinking that what they are looking for, and they are certainly not looking for the nerds with just technical knowledge of some specific field.

To find the best match companies have adopted gamified assessments for hiring the talent with the necessary soft skills for the role. And this is a bit frustrating, right? Like you have been studying for the last four years, you have all the technical knowledge, you’ve prepared your concepts very well, but now to get your dream job you’ve to play some games. Like WHAT THE HECK!

But the situation from the employer’s point of view is different, as it’s been reported that many of the hirees have lacked in soft skills. It’s quite true that technical skills can be learned at some later time as well, but soft skills are the personal attributes of an individual. Moreover, the requirements of soft skills, for different job roles are different, and here’s when these gamified assessments come in handy as they help to gauge the different skills or traits of a person. Like focus, attention to detail, multi-tasking, emotional intelligence, communication, leadership, analytical and quantitative skills are what generally employers are looking for. Now, what’s the way forward? like you get that such assessments are important, but how to ace one of these?

Face it and Ace it

Well if you think that you aren’t able to perform well in such assessments, not to worry you are just like me. Let me tell you that personally, I’m not able to perform well in these assessments, and we can not change who we are, but certainly, we can improve bit by bit. We can train our minds to get better at these skills, and I believe that this change and adopting these traits would be very much helpful in the professional career.
